Full Moon in Pisces & Partial Lunar Eclipse

28 August 2026 — Release. Then Embody.

August has already asked a great deal of us energetically.

We moved through the opening and closing of the Lions Gate portal, followed by the Solar Eclipse in Leo on 12 August. And now, as we reach the end of the month, we arrive at the other side of this eclipse corridor:

A Full Moon in Pisces and Partial Lunar Eclipse on Friday 28 August 2026.

The Full Moon reaches its peak at approximately 5:18am BST here in the UK, with maximum eclipse occurring just minutes earlier at approximately 5:12am BST.

For me, this feels very different from the energy we experienced earlier in August.

The Solar Eclipse wasn't a time when I felt called to manifest, push forward or continually ask for more.

It was a time to become still.

To allow the Lions Gate portal to close.

To observe what had surfaced.

And most importantly, to integrate.

Now, the Pisces Full Moon feels like the next stage of that journey.

The release that follows the integration.

What have these past few weeks shown you?

What have you become aware of that you can no longer ignore?

What are you still carrying?

And perhaps most importantly:

What are you finally ready to put down?

From Lions Gate to the Pisces Full Moon

I've spoken throughout August about not continually asking for more.

Sometimes we become so focused on manifesting the next thing that we don't give ourselves enough time to receive, process and integrate what has already arrived.

Lions Gate brought activation.

The Solar Eclipse brought integration.

And now this Pisces Lunar Eclipse brings us into release.

There is a natural progression here:

Activation → Integration → Release → Embodiment

Because when we release something, we create space.

And eventually, we have to decide what we're going to do with that space.

The Space Between Two Eclipses

But before we reach the second eclipse, there is something else happening.

We are currently in the space between eclipses.

The Solar Eclipse on 12 August opened this eclipse season, and the Lunar Eclipse on 28 August completes this particular pair.

And I think this space in between deserves attention.

Because it can feel strange.

Things can feel unsettled.

Patterns can begin to change.

Something you felt certain about only weeks ago might suddenly feel less certain.

Old emotions can return.

Relationships can feel different.

You might suddenly see a situation from an entirely different perspective.

Within spiritual and astrological traditions, eclipse seasons have long been viewed as periods of accelerated change, revelation and turning points.

This is why you'll often hear people associate eclipse periods with significant beginnings and endings — relationships changing, people entering or leaving our lives, careers shifting, unexpected opportunities appearing or decisions suddenly becoming clear.

Not because an eclipse automatically makes those things happen.

But because these periods can act as powerful markers of transition.

And sometimes, once something has been seen clearly, we cannot unsee it.

Once something changes within us, it can become very difficult to return to the person we were before.

Perhaps that is part of what this space between eclipses is asking of us.

Not necessarily to act immediately.

But to notice what is changing.

How Are You Feeling Right Now?

You may already be feeling this.

Perhaps you're more emotional than usual.

More tired.

More sensitive.

More introspective.

You might be sleeping more — or finding your sleep disrupted.

Old memories may suddenly be surfacing.

You might feel unusually drawn to being alone.

Something that normally wouldn't bother you might suddenly feel overwhelming.

You may find yourself questioning a relationship, friendship, job, direction or even an aspect of yourself that you've never questioned before.

You might feel a strong need to clear things out — physically, emotionally or energetically.

Or you may simply have the feeling that something is changing, even though you can't explain what it is yet.

And there can be two very different experiences within this.

For some people, something may suddenly become incredibly clear.

You know what needs to change.

You know what conversation needs to happen.

You know what you need to stop doing.

You know where you're being pulled.

There is almost a sense of:

“I can't pretend I don't know this anymore.”

For others, it may be completely different.

You might feel confused.

Foggy.

Uncertain.

Between directions.

You know something is shifting, but you have absolutely no idea what comes next.

And if that is where you are right now:

Don't force clarity.

You Don't Have to Know Yet

We are conditioned to think that uncertainty is something we need to fix.

If we don't know the answer, we search harder.

If we don't know which direction to take, we push ourselves to make a decision.

If something feels uncomfortable, we immediately try to resolve it.

But what if this particular space isn't asking you for an answer yet?

What if it's asking you to listen?

Pause.

Lay low if you need to.

Give yourself space.

Rest more.

Journal.

Spend time outside.

Pay attention to your body.

Notice what feels expansive and what feels draining.

And rather than continually pushing your energy outward, allow yourself to receive.

Sometimes the next step becomes clearer precisely because we stopped desperately trying to find it.

The space between eclipses isn't necessarily an empty space.

It can be a space of transition.

A place where the old has begun loosening, but the new hasn't completely revealed itself yet.

And spiritually, you might describe that feeling as being between timelines.

Not lost.

Not necessarily going backwards.

Simply no longer entirely where you were — and not yet able to see where you're going.

Sometimes the next chapter can only reveal itself when we stop trying to write every line in advance.

Pisces Meets Virgo — Intuition Meets Discernment

This Full Moon takes place in Pisces, opposite the Sun in Virgo.

And I love the symbolism of these two energies meeting.

Pisces takes us into feeling.

Intuition.

Dreams.

Sensitivity.

Emotion.

Spirit.

The unseen.

Virgo brings us back into the physical.

Discernment.

Boundaries.

The body.

Daily life.

Practicality.

What actually works.

And perhaps this is part of the invitation of this Full Moon:

Feel what is true — but also discern what is true.

Intuition and discernment need one another.

It isn't enough simply to receive an insight.

Eventually, we have to decide what we're going to do with it.

We cannot continually recognise the same pattern and then keep choosing it.

At some point, awareness asks us to live differently.

Is Everything You're Carrying Actually Yours?

This is something I feel particularly strongly around this Full Moon.

Pisces is an incredibly sensitive energy.

And for those of us who naturally feel other people deeply, there can be times when the boundaries between our emotions and somebody else's emotions become blurred.

So perhaps the question isn't simply:

What do I need to release?

Perhaps it is:

What am I carrying that was never mine to hold in the first place?

Other people's expectations.

Their fears.

Their emotions.

Their opinions of who you should be.

Their responsibility.

Their pain.

Their story.

Being compassionate doesn't mean carrying everything for everybody else.

You can love someone without taking responsibility for their journey.

You can understand somebody without absorbing their emotions.

You can support somebody without abandoning yourself.

And you can return to yourself without closing your heart.

Sometimes release simply means recognising:

This isn't mine!

Pay Attention to What Surfaces

Pisces is also traditionally associated with dreams, intuition, imagination and the subconscious.

So around this Full Moon, rather than searching desperately for signs or answers, simply notice.

Notice your dreams.

Notice memories that suddenly return.

Notice emotions that seem to appear from nowhere.

Notice recurring thoughts.

Notice what your body responds to.

Notice what feels heavy.

Notice what suddenly feels complete.

You might want to keep a notebook beside your bed and write down anything that feels significant when you wake.

But don't feel that you have to interpret everything immediately.

Sometimes we understand something only after we've given it space.

Observe first.

When the Shadow Comes Into View

There is something incredibly symbolic about a Lunar Eclipse.

Astronomically, the Earth moves between the Sun and Moon and Earth's shadow falls across the Moon. And on 28 August, this is a very deep partial eclipse. For me, there is a beautiful metaphor within that. Because an eclipse doesn't create the shadow.

It reveals it!

And perhaps the same can be true within us.

Our shadow isn't necessarily something dark or bad.

Sometimes it is simply something we haven't been ready to look at.

The wound beneath the reaction.

The fear beneath the control.

The emotion beneath the behaviour.

The truth beneath the story.

A relationship we know has changed.

A pattern we continue to repeat.

A version of ourselves we have already outgrown.

Something can exist within us for years before we're finally ready to see it differently.

Perhaps this eclipse isn't asking us to judge what comes into view.

Perhaps it's simply asking us:

Are you ready to acknowledge it now?

Release Doesn't Always Mean Goodbye

When we talk about Full Moons and release, people sometimes assume something dramatic has to happen.

A relationship has to end.

A friendship has to disappear.

A job has to be left.

A huge decision has to be made.

But release doesn't always mean walking away.

Sometimes we release the energy we are carrying around something.

You can release resentment without forgetting what happened.

You can release fear without knowing exactly what comes next.

You can release an old identity without rejecting who you used to be.

You can release somebody else's expectations without rejecting the person.

You can release the need to control an outcome without giving up on yourself.

You can release an energetic attachment while still honouring what the experience taught you.

Release isn't always about what leaves your life.

Sometimes it's about changing what you choose to carry forward.

This Isn't a Full Moon I Will Use for Manifesting

I know many people use Full Moons to charge their crystals or perform manifestation rituals.

That isn't how I personally work with eclipse energy.

Because this Full Moon occurs alongside a Lunar Eclipse, I will not be charging or cleansing my crystals beneath the Moon.

I allow my crystals to rest during eclipse periods.

For me, an eclipse isn't a time to programme crystals or continually ask the Universe for more.

It is a time to turn inward.

To listen.

To observe.

To integrate.

And to release.

If I feel that one of my crystals needs grounding, I prefer to return it to the Earth rather than place it beneath eclipse moonlight.

You don't need lots of tools to work with this energy.

Sometimes simplicity is far more powerful.

A Simple Pisces Eclipse Practice

Light one candle.

Sit somewhere quiet.

Take a few slow breaths.

And ask yourself:

What did Lions Gate illuminate for me?

What did the Solar Eclipse ask me to integrate?

What has become clearer over these past two weeks?

What am I carrying that isn't mine?

What am I holding onto because I am afraid of what happens when I let it go?

What truth have I already felt but perhaps haven't wanted to acknowledge?

What version of myself has completed its work?

What am I ready to release now?

And then ask one final question:

Who am I when I no longer carry this?

Don't force an answer.

Let it come.

Release. Then Embody.

Because release is not the end of the work.

It creates the space for what comes next.

And then we have to embody it.

Have the conversation.

Change the boundary.

Make the art.

Write.

Rest.

Walk beneath the trees.

Spend time with the Earth.

Listen to your intuition.

Choose differently.

Choose what feels true.

Choose what feels aligned.

Spiritual work isn't only what happens during meditation, ceremony, healing or moments of connection.

Eventually, it has to become part of the way we live.

That is embodiment.

Completing an Extraordinary August

This Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse brings us towards the completion of an extraordinary energetic month.

Lions Gate illuminated.

The Solar Eclipse asked us to integrate.

The Pisces Lunar Eclipse invites us to release.

And what follows is embodiment.

Not everything needs to come with us into the next chapter.

Some experiences have already given us their lesson.

Some identities have carried us as far as they can.

Some emotions were never ours to carry in the first place.

And sometimes the most powerful question isn't:

What else do I need?

It's:

What am I finally ready to put down?

Release what is complete.

Return what isn't yours.

Trust what has been revealed.

And if you don't know what's next yet, allow that to be okay too.

You may not be lost.

You may simply be standing in the space between what was and what is becoming.

Release.

Listen.

And when the time comes...

Embody.

Please like and share this if you feel someone you know may need these questions, these words, or simply needs to hear this message. Please pass it on. Sharing really is caring. ❤️

We live in such a fast-paced world, where even taking a few minutes to sit and read a blog can sometimes feel like a lot.

But what if we did?

What if we took just a little time out of our day to stop, read, listen and reflect?

Sometimes the words we need arrive at exactly the right moment — and sometimes, by sharing them, we help those words find the person who needs them too. ✨

Happy Full Moon everyone.

Much love
