What is a Title?

I’m often asked about titles…what do you do, what would you say you are?
And to be honest, this is something I’ve never fully aligned with.
It’s never felt natural for me to define myself in that way. Not because I don’t understand the question but because I’ve never felt that a single word, or even a handful of words, could truly hold the depth of who someone is.
Yes — I am a teacher. That’s a role I honour deeply.
But I don’t feel the need to call myself a master, a guru, or a priestess.
Not because I don’t understand those paths…but because I don’t believe in calling myself that.
In truth, I believe we’ve all been many things across many lifetimes.
We’ve all held different roles. Hold different levels of wisdom and experiences.
In some lifetimes we lead.
In others we learn.
In some we hold everything…
and in others, nothing at all.
We move through cycles of expansion, contraction, remembering and forgetting. And each lifetime offers us something different — something needed for the evolution of our souls.
And for me, I always come back to the same place…
Humility.
A quiet understanding that no matter how much we know, there is always more to learn. No matter how much we’ve experienced, there is always more to feel, to see, to grow into.
I don’t need, or feel the want, to label myself. I don’t need to announce what I am.
Because what I am isn’t something I’ve decided…it’s something I’ve lived, embodied, and grown into over time.
My soul has evolved through every lifetime and I choose to meet it the same way each time —without hierarchy, without labels, without the need to elevate it above another.
Instead, I meet it through presence.
In the way I hold space.
The way I see people.
The way I listen beyond words.
The way I teach.
The way I guide, support and move energy in and through people.
That can’t be given by a title.
And it doesn’t become more powerful because it’s named.
If anything, I feel that sometimes a title can limit what is actually something fluid, evolving and deeply personal.
For me, truth doesn’t need to be declared loudly. It doesn’t need to be proven or announced.
It moves quietly…but it’s deeply felt.
And those who are meant to feel it, will.
And this is the part I’ve really come to understand…
We live in a world that teaches you to announce yourself.
To define who you are.
To almost prove your worth through titles and labels.
To make yourself understandable in a way that can be quickly consumed.
And yes — in today’s world, especially through social media, you do need to share what you do.
You need to communicate your work, your energy, how you support people.
That’s part of connection.
That’s part of allowing the right people to find you.
But for me, there’s a difference between sharing your work…and positioning yourself above others through titles.
There’s a difference between expression and elevation.
I could list many things that I am. Many roles I’ve embodied, many experiences I’ve lived.
But I choose not to.
Because for me…do you need a title to show what you do?
What is a title really for?
Is it there to express…or to impress?
To connect…or to create distance?
My work isn’t strengthened by a title.
It’s felt through the experience.
Through the shifts people have.
Through the clarity they gain.
Through the way they begin to see themselves differently.
That is where the truth of the work lives.
And I truly believe…real empowerment doesn’t come from placing yourself on a pedestal with titles.
It doesn’t come from creating hierarchy in a space that is meant to be about connection and remembering.
It comes from standing fully in who you are…
From knowing what you do.
Being confident in your choices and decisions.
And trusting your higher self without needing external validation.
Every single person carries wisdom.
Every single person has something to offer.
Every single person is here to learn and to guide, in their own way.
We are here to meet each other — not stand above one another.
To walk alongside, not ahead.
To support, not to elevate ourselves beyond reach.
So I choose to work from that place.
Not from title… but from truth.
Not from hierarchy… but from connection.
And if you ever feel the need to say who you are…just gently ask yourself —
where is that coming from?
From ego…or from the heart?
Because here’s the truth…
Releasing titles doesn’t mean you don’t know who you are.
It doesn’t mean you don’t honour your gifts, your experience, or your path.
If anything — it requires a deeper level of self-knowing.
A quieter confidence.
A grounded understanding of what you carry and how you serve.
And while I may not choose to define myself through titles…my work still moves through many forms, many expressions, many layers.
Not labels…but lived roles.
And that’s where my work truly begins.
