The Awakening Is Real — But So Is Discernment

Since lockdown, there has been a huge shift happening.
More and more people have started questioning life, questioning their purpose, and realising there is more to this human experience than simply working, sleeping, paying bills and repeating the same cycle day after day.
By 2026, we are seeing more people than ever attending sound healing sessions, yoga classes, meditation circles, crystal workshops, retreats and holistic events. People are seeking something deeper. They are looking for connection, meaning, purpose and a greater understanding of themselves.
For some of us, this isn't new.
I've worked with these energies my entire life and grew up in a family where intuition, feelings, energy and the spiritual side of life were openly discussed and honoured. What is fascinating now is watching so many people begin their own awakening journey.
And that is a beautiful thing.
When people awaken, they often start living more consciously. They begin questioning old patterns, healing wounds, reconnecting with their values and becoming more aligned with who they truly are. As this consciousness grows, it naturally impacts families, communities and future generations.
However, there is something important that needs to be said.
Attending a sound healing session, buying a few crystals or going on a retreat does not automatically make someone a spiritual teacher, healer, mentor or guide.
Yet we are living in a time where social media can sometimes make it appear that way.
Many people are awakening and searching for answers, which can leave them vulnerable to following the wrong people. Not everyone teaching spirituality is grounded. Not everyone offering guidance has done the depth of work required. And not everyone presenting themselves as a leader is operating with integrity.
Please be mindful of who you follow and please be mindful of who you trust with your mind, your energy and your personal growth.
A genuine practitioner should never seek to make you dependent upon them.
There are times in life when we need someone to help us see what we cannot yet see.
Sometimes life brings us to a crossroads through illness, loss, trauma, burnout or unexpected change. These experiences can disconnect us from ourselves, making it difficult to see clearly or know which direction to take.
At these moments, the guidance of an experienced practitioner can help create the shift that allows a new level of awareness to emerge.
But their role is not to keep you dependent upon them.
Their role is to help you reconnect with yourself.
To encourage you to slow down.
To meditate.
To become aware of your body, your thoughts and your emotions.
To notice what your own intuition is quietly trying to show you.
It is easy to disappear down endless rabbit holes searching for answers, believing that the next video, book or opinion will finally provide the clarity you seek. More often than not, this creates confusion rather than understanding.
Sometimes the greatest medicine is simply to become still enough to listen.
The best practitioners don't tell you what to believe.
They don't make your decisions for you.
They help you develop the awareness and discernment to walk your own path with greater confidence.
Awakening is not about giving your power away.
It is about learning when to seek guidance, and when to trust the wisdom that begins to grow within you.
Stay curious. Stay open-minded. Stay grounded ✨💚
Much love,
Natasha
