Welcome to our Blog, in this article we’re exploring the far-reaching effects of the six planets in Aquarius during February 2021.
But first, we’re looking back at the biggest cosmic event in recent years to establish the context of the massive cosmological shift that is currently taking place.
The Great Conjunction
Late last year Jupiter and Saturn came together in their cyclical twenty-year conjunction. Known as ‘the great conjunction’, this stellar astrological event has been used as a traditional method of demarcating historic events for centuries. When Jupiter and Saturn come together, we tend to see themes of death and rebirth.
For the past 100 years, their cycle has coincided with the transition between decades. Alternating between opposition and conjunction every decade. December 2020 was conjunction, 2010 an opposition.
This epic constellation of two celestial giants is the first in Aquarius since 1405 and the conjunction is the closest in nearly 400 years. As Saturn remains in the sign of the water bearer through 2023 and Jupiter hangs on for the rest of the year, we’re entering a time of progressive, forward-thinking energy.
The Aquarius Stellium
This month a whopping seven planets cluster together in a rare cosmic event. Consequently, we feel the intensity of this Aquarian fixed air sign energy most keenly throughout February.
The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn, plus asteroid Pallas each arrive in the sign of Aquarius to form what is known in Astrology as a stellium. February 2021 promises to be a major opportunity to reassess.
As a result of this influx of Aquarian energy, the next few years ahead will steer towards humanitarian issues, technological advancements, and unconventional innovations.
Our focus sits with these themes as they guide the framework of our society throughout all of 2021 and beyond.
Mercury Retrograde
Throughout the month Mercury is in retrograde which means we feel the full power of the air element as it sweeps through to conjunct each of the planets in the sign. Expect a mentally profound month as each of these conjunctions radiates the influence of the planet of the mind.
As the air signs deal primarily in communication and thinking we’ll likely feel some confusion. However, since this February is a Mercurial backspin, we get the chance to reset how we interact socially. This is a great moment to consider our words more carefully as we tune in to our personal and community relations with greater care. One by one these Aquarius stellium planets form a cathartic square with Mars and Uranus in Taurus. This suggests that our minds will be working overtime to adapt to all the changes taking place.
The New Moon
The New Moon brings with it a clear and decisive reminder of what the Age of Aquarius is all about. Since there are seven planets in the sign at one time the message rings through loud and clear.
If you were still in any doubt about what it’s all about, you'll find out on the 11th.
Piscean Season
As we reach the end of the month, we see the mental energy sink into our heart space. Just we’re thinking things could be getting a little extra in the head department, the sun enters Pisces to gently return us to earth.
This shift will feel like a breath of fresh air after the mind games of the previous few weeks.
Pisces season heralds the return of a slower pace of life and the reunion of the cosmic lovers. Creativity abounds as Venus drifts into Pisces to help manifest our goals.
The month ends with a Virgo full moon, creating a Trine with Uranus and opposition with Neptune. This signals the potentiality to integrate the Uranian changes that have taken place.
